Found this on my dogs bed, just sitin there. Needed to be removed; my way, and that's by the human hand. After it buzzed up its muscles to fly; it took off outside. You can hear the wind of its wings buzzing; I could feel the wind as it gripped tight and flapped.
Definitely a nervous wasp which made me a bit nervous and careful. I do this all the time and haven't been stung or bitten since Junior High. But I was stung by a dead bee, swiped my arm across its stinger which was lying on my desk.
Tried to feed it honey (on my hand), but realized too late that this was a mandible chopping meat eater.
