Violinist and composer, Gianna Pedregon, was born and raised in Southern California. Her primary instrument is a 5-string acoustic violin, but she also plays electric violin, electric mandolin and is a competent bassist. She has performed at many events and festivals across the United States and internationally, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Donostiako Jazzaldia festival in Spain, and the Jazz in Marciac festival in France.
Gianna has won numerous awards for her musicianship as a jazz soloist. She has been recognized multiple times in Downbeat magazine as an individual performer and as part of ensemble groups. In 2024, she was honored to be inducted into the prestigious society of the Sisters in Jazz, that includes jazz greats such as Tia Fuller, Anat Cohen, Sarah Caswell, and Linda Oh. Currently, Gianna has also joined Resonance Records as a performing artist.
