Lyrics: THE RIGHT WAY
Where do I go, with this weight in my throat
It’s like a knife that steals all my words
Where do I go, with this weight on my chest
a bleeding heart that burns right to the bone
but the right way walks the other way.
Why am I lost inside this maze
filled with cracks and one way signs
that go so deep, down deep to nowhere known
…and doing what, no one will ever know.
Where do I go with this weight on my chest
if all of this just takes myself away.
Cover up my face I don’t want to see
burn out my eyes I don’ want to hear a thing
Pierce my silent ears I don’t need to think at all
Heal me…
Bow my weary back with scarce and gentle touch
tie my tired arms they will learn to fly again
heal me like I was a child
a child.
What am I doing under this heavy sky
a fallen angel that’s crushing and cannot fly.
Who never knew the sky could have a roof
and climbing high
to fall and wonder why
And all below with all this weight upon them
with heart torn out and eaten to the bone
but the right way walks the other way
the right way
Cover up my face I don’t want to see
burn out my eyes I don’ want to hear a thing
Pierce my silent ears I don’t need to think at all
Heal me…
Bow my weary back with scarce and gentle touch
tie my tired arms they will learn to fly again
heal me like I was a child
your child
Heal me
like I was a child
Heal me
like I was a child
your child
