Here are my Ghost of Tsushima best armor sets and outfits and how to get them including the Ghost Armor, Tadayori armor, and more. Most of these armor locations can be found from mythic tales except for the Ghost Armor.

Best Armor Sets & Outfits Locations
Tadayori Armor - The Legend of Tadayori (Mythic Tale)
To get the Tadayori Armor you'll get the quest start once you hear a peasant rumor about the location and this can be done in Act 1. You must have completed the Tale of Sensei Ishikawa tale before you can do The Legend of Tadayori. Then head to the musician who will tell you the Legend of Tadayori. Once that's over, head to the violet crown which is called that because it overlooks a field of violet flowers. It's the top of a mountain in Northern Azamo. There will be a search area on the map. It's on the eastern side of that yellow bubble. Once you reach the top you'll acquire a map which leads to Tadayoris Rest. Following the map will lead you to the northern end of that search area through the field of violets and into Hourens Pasture. Once you get to the mountain you'll find a small cave entrance that you can squeeze through to get into Tadayoris Rest. Follow the path which will lead to his rest and after interacting with the 2 tombstones and incense, you'll have an interaction. After that you'll have to go rescue the musician from the bottom of the map on the southern cliffs south of Azamo. Once you rescue the musician you'll complete the legend of tadayori you'll be rewarded with Tadayoris Armor which in terms of ranged weapons is the best armor and the only mythic armor that gives buffs to the bow.
Ghost Armor Location - If you want to know how to get ghost armor in Ghost of Tsushima it's actually really easy.
You just have to play through the story until you get to Act 2 and complete the From The Darkness story quest. You'll obtain the Ghost Armor during the tale and afterwards you'll keep the Ghost Armor. And that's how to get ghost armor in Ghost of Tsushima
Gosaku Armor - The Unbreakable Gosaku (Mythic Tale)
Again you'll have to talk to a musician in Act 2 to get the Gosaku Armor. He's located south of Akashima Village and will be marked on the map after hearing a rumor about it from a peasant.
You'll be tasked with finding 6 keys, all of which will be marked on your map. It's a little time consuming but it'll be worth it to get the armor. Once you have all 6 you'll have to open a gate which allows you to climb a mountain rewarding you with Gosaku outfit / armor.
Kensei Armor - Six Blades of Cojiro (Mythic Tale)
Once again in Act 2 you'll have to find the musician near Umugi Cove at the south west portion of the map who will be marked on the map after listening to rumors from peasants.
You'll have to defeat Six other samurai in duels aka the Six Blades of Cojiro in order to get the Kensei Armor. After defeating all Six Blades of Cojiro you'll eventually be granted the Kensei Armor.
Tip: upgrading the stone stance helps a lot with the duels
The Kensei armor is probably the best armor in the game.
