Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is a PlayStation 2 game released by Sony Computer Entertainment on March 4 , 2004. The genre is action, shooting, and adventure. It is a game adaptation of the anime series "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex."
Story
Daisuke Aramaki, head of Public Security Section 9, learns of a smuggling plan and the illegal diversion of GSDF weapons from his old friend Kubota in the GSDF Intelligence Division. Public Security Section 9 takes action to secure witnesses and uncover the diversion route. Motoko Kusanagi,
also known as "The Major," commander of Section 9's execution unit, and her partner, former Ranger Batou, raid the smuggling site .
After admonishing Batou, who complains about the military's incompetence, Motoko descends alone from her tilt rotor. As she lands at the entrance to Niihama Pier, she is greeted by a mountain of containers shrouded in eerie silence.
Up until this point, this incident had been thought to be a simple smuggling case. However, when a witness is murdered in front of Motoko and his identity is revealed, the story becomes complicated.
The name of the murdered witness is Fuwa Takeru. However, according to records, this Fuwa Takeru was supposed to have been killed on the Niihama University campus five years ago.
Meanwhile, Batou spots the transport van at the pier parking area where the weapons are to be handed over, and begins work to secure it. However, what he finds inside is not weapons...
A man who was supposed to have died in the past, and supplies left behind. Motoko and Batou fly to the Tohoku Autonomous Region, where Fuwa once lived, to find out the truth.
The Tohoku Autonomous Region is a shelter city built during the Fourth Non-Nuclear War to forcibly evacuate scientists and place them under military control. What awaits the two in this "negative relic" where the vestiges of the war remain strong?
