Case Background: The scary ghost story is that priests at La Lomita had sex with resident nuns. When the nuns got pregnant they allegedly killed and buried the infants in the backyard. When the town people found out, there was a riot at the mission. Two of the priests were killed and one got away. Supposedly, the bones of the priests were kept on display there for several years as a warning. There is also rumor that the mission was an insane asylum were people experienced paranormal activity. I found historical records on La Lomita Mission, but none mention ghosts or the murders. Could the story be nothing more than an urban legend?
