At last this school assignment featuring my OC Magpiewing and a bunch of Ghibli characters is done! I have no idea how long I have spent on this, the tunnel alone took 6.5 hour to draw :,) estimating 50-80 hours?? very proud though!
Ghibli has always been my biggest source for inspiration and comfort, I will always take the opportunity to incorporate it with projects ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

Process:
• Everything seen from Howl's castle to the backgrounds and fur patterns are hand-drawn by me!
• All was done in 2D but added into a 3D world with different distances from the camera.
• This is known as parallaxing, the depth of the 3D space gives the illusion of immersiveness when everything are flat drawings!
• Howl's castle and Haku were both tweened using Blender's lattices; similar to that of puppet tools in editing programs!
• Every frame had to be hand moved as an object while animating, which made the process as hard as it was, and is why the sizing is so wonky seen from another view! (Working with perspective on a flat drawing in a 3D space was one of the hardest things ever aha)
