Well, not quite. Also not quite is matching Rock Band's proper camera cut control functionality, but this is still pretty fun.
This was a quick experiment I did involving adding two extra pitches to the TRIGGERS track (60 and 61, but that doesn't matter much) which each call the game to either cycle the camera angle or force a wide angle, respectively. I also enabled the static camera so the game doesn't try to switch angles on its own--in essence, I control all camera cuts during a song.
How did it work out? Well, great on the first try. This is a fast song (160BPM, I think), and I think I'd have to pull back just how many cuts I'm using, but I can tweak that. This is still good for demonstration purposes. It's nice not to be limited to the usual every two bars the game normally calls cuts on.
Unfortunately, there's no way to reliably cut to certain angles, as GH2's venues all use different names for their camera angles aside from "lighter", which is the wide shot. This does mean I can do more musical camera angle cutting than the game normally does, though, and it's completely controllable through authoring, with no ramifications on a disc without this feature.
So yeah, expect it for the Volume 0 reissue and any future marfGH's. I promise I will try not to nauseate you.
Oh, and this song is called "Worst Mistake", by a lovely UK band named Curve. This was a song they wrote for FreQuency, and it'll be on Volume 1, one of four FreQ/Amp ports that'll be on it. (Or more? I'm not gonna give THAT bit away...)

Figured a good way to get back into the marfGH swing would be with a classic (to me).
Watch and listen closely! Theres actually two minor hacks I did up for this (audience clapping if youre doing really well and pre-chart end cheering like [music_end] in Rock Band), plus showing off more of my custom camera cutting functionality. It takes a lot of tweaking, and maybe Im giving myself a lot of extra unnecessary work for GH2, but its worth it.
Let me know if that strumming is overcharted, I dont think it is.
