Path of Exile 2's real goal was never nonstop fun, GGG built PoE2's endgame reward loop to just be good enough that you finish what you want and come back next league. Some PoE2 players are saying loot in 0.5 feels like relief now, not a win, so I checked that against what GGG's actually said about game design, and what it means for PoE2 with the 1.0 release five months out.
