In May of 1991, I went to Charlotte NC to meet up with GG Allin. He was in NC doing vocals for the album he did with ANTiSEEN, among other things, including the in store appearance at Repo Records. The footage in this video is from my archives and hasn’t been released up until now, for the most part. There is video out there of the whole event, but the footage in this video is from my camera and exclusive to this particular video. GG chats about meeting the MC5, his mission and his plans for his FINAL SHOW.
GG and I had been in communication on the phone for about a year at this point, but we had never met in person. This was our first “in person” encounter with each other, although I did see him live at the Harbor Club (link about that show below) in 1989. I went to NC to deliver the transcripts for the Ann Arbor Incident book, which was never published. In addition, I was there to do a photo shoot with GG and also, GG and ANTiSEEN. A lot happened that weekend, all of which was good. I will be doing a more in depth video about that important weekend, the future. As mentioned in the video, GG didn’t do many in store appearances. I think he did 3, possibly 4. I was at two of them and organized the one that was at Alternative Records in Tampa FL, a few short months after the Repo Records appearance.
