Getting to Rez can be kind of tricky the frame rate might hamper your jumping.
Rez is, like the other bosses, predictable if you know what your doing. When he swipes with his right hand you have to jump over it, but when he swipes with his left hand you have to duck. Jump as when he pounds the ground with his fist. When you get back to a platform with a TV and have eaten the fly inside shoot of a volley of about 2 or 3 at the bulleye in his chest. Try to stay on the raised area.
His left handed attack brings me to the one thing I could never get my head around years ago. No matter how high I jumped he would always hit me with his left hand, there is almost no difference (visually) to his right handed attack. There is one subtle hint though. If you listen, you can hear him scrape his right hand along the floor, but his left hand doesn't make that noise, indicating that his hand is moving just above the floor. But who would ever of thought to use the duck button to dodge right?
