Thanks to my recent reverse engineering efforts on Gex 3, I've managed to find this camera mode, which is labeled as "cheat" inside the game's executable.
It appears to be a broken version of a first person mode, the camera is not positioned correctly and the way it disables the "cinematic" camera mode, makes the game glitch up when it's supposed to show cutscenes, from that alone I assume this mode was never finished.
