“Gettysburg: The Battle for Sodomy,” means that with the North winning the battle they then were destined to win the war. Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address basically proclaimed that the Declaration of Independence was the highest law of the land and that his interpretation was the law. There is only one law in America and everything must submit to that law. “All men are created equal” is the law of the land. The judges and the lawyers, being who they are, take this law and try to get as much money and power from it that they can. They are the actors on the stage performing for their clients. The love of money that controls them and the system that they help run inevitably leads society to Sodom and Gomorrah. The perfect example is former Solicitor General, Theodore Olson. He advertised himself as a very strong moral and conservative American Lawyer. But a quick preview of his life shows that he actually did not have a fear of God and a trembling toward God’s Word. He was in fact a liberal not a conservative. In arguing for same sex marriage he said the Declaration of Independence was a revolutionary document and we as Americans must therefore be revolutionary in accepting same sex marriage in the name of Lincoln’s understanding of equality found in the Declaration of Independence.
