Meet Rashid Sumaila, Professor at the School of Public Policy and Global Affairs (SPPGA) and the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries (IOF) at UBC. He is also Canada Research Chair in Interdisciplinary Ocean and Fisheries Economics.

Informed by his experience working in the fisheries and natural resources sector, Prof. Sumaila specializes in bioeconomics, marine ecosystem valuation, and the policy and economics of fisheries.
