Did you hear how much clearer that was?!

Combining the consonant that follows a vowel is something I see all the time (and catch myself doing too!!).

This can lead to muddy vowels or even a nasal sound!

To practice this, completely disconnect the vowel from the consonant first and then really focus on keeping that vowel clear.

In Doug’s case @doughaagmusic it was his tongue that was already preparing for the r sound so by sticking it out, he prevented his tongue from going up in the back, making the vowel so much clearer.

In general, getting the tongue out of the way will usually help with making your vowels more clear.

Give this a try and let me know how it went!
