The first time you pick up Woodpeckers new Stainless Steel Inspection Square you'll notice the heft. This is a square with substance. Look closely and you'll see why. Unlike most squares, the core of the handle and the blade are one continuous piece of precisely milled stainless steel. "Square" has been established by a state-of-the-art CNC mill…not 4 rivets and a prayer.
Stainless steel scales form the handle – joined to that one-piece core with precisely located stainless steel pins. Once assembled, your Inspection Square is guaranteed to be within ±0.001" of square over the 6" length of the blade – about one-third the thickness of a human hair. This square should be the benchmark by which all others in your shop are judged.
