I'm going through the top 20 Favorite Video Game Songs of all time as voted on by my community. This came in at number 15!

It is always extremely unnerving to cover a song that's this important to my childhood. I have done this one twice before I think in various medleys but never as it's own arrangement, and it's so awesome to get to pull it off for this top 20 project and let the whole song stand on it's own, because it's truly a masterpiece in my opinion.

Hearing this song was probably one of the first times I fell in love with the sound of guitar and it certainly motivated me to want to study classical guitar when I reached college. This is not by any means a traditional styled flamenco piece, but it is essential to be versed in picado style playing I think to play it correctly. The intro lick is also no joke to play and I took a lot of inspiration this time around from how my friends in Super Guitar Bros play it. Their Ocarina of Time Medley is a must watch by the way if you haven't.

I was extremely lucky to also have ArtificialFear on this as not only is he an incredible guitarist on his own channel, he studied Trumpet in college and was so perfect to fit the only instrument in this song that I can't ever hope to play well. I've known Mat for a long time and have done lots of projects with him over the past 13 years, so please do me and yourself a favor by checking out his channel if you haven't already.
