The Netherlands' standard gauge preserved railways rarely run on ex-NS or otherwise Dutch industrial locomotives. If you go to any steam railway in the Netherlands, chances are your train will be hauled by an ex-Deutsche Bundesbahn or otherwise German locomotive. Why is that?
