The HX-2 is one of the newest loitering munitions to enter the war in Ukraine.

We embedded with soldiers of Ukraine's 59th Brigade as they prepared, launched, and fought with the German-made HX-2 during real combat missions.

From long-range strikes deep behind the front line to AI-assisted terminal guidance and electronic warfare, this documentary follows one crew to understand how the system performs outside the testing ground.

We also visit the 411th "Hawks" Regiment, where new operators are learning to use the HX-2 before deploying to the battlefield.
This is one of the first in-depth looks at the HX-2 operating in Ukraine.
