Georgia Tech's Biologically Inspired for Engineering Education (BIRDEE) program is helping metro Atlanta public high school teachers develop new engineering curriculum to inspire high school students. The program allows participating high school teachers to spend five weeks in a Georgia Tech research lab devoted to biologically inspired design. They also visit the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Zoo Atlanta for a deeper dive into understanding biological systems in their natural habitat.
