The George Way Studio model is a perfect example of a modern wood ply snare drum. The shell is designed to recreate the sound of the famous Way and Camco drums of the 50's, 60's and 70's. The drum is set up with a Remo Ambassador batter head at medium tension. The wires were disengaged to allow the natural tonality of the drum to come through. The recording was done with a simple stereo condenser microphone running directly into the camera. No EQ or effects have been added.
