Once upon a time in the land of fiction, George Santos' grandparents fled Jewish persecution in Ukraine, settled in Belgium, and again fled persecution during WWII. In reality, they came from Brazil way before the cranky shouting man took power. Georgy claimed to be a “a proud American Jew” to pro-Israel groups. However, 6 weeks after he was in office, thickness he said he mislead voters about his cultural and religious background.
When Rico not Suave ran for Congress in 2019, he claimed that he graduated from the Horace Mann School. He didn't. In a recent Dec. 26, 2022 interview, he said he never graduated from college and said that he received a degree in economics and finance from Baruch College in 2010. Loco!
On his campaign trail, Santos said that he was a “Wall Street financier and investor” and that he worked for Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. Fast forward a smidge, he then said that he “never worked directly” with either of them. He was however, a customer service agent at a Dish Network call center. Mucho loco!
He did claim to be mugged back in 2016. You see, on his way to pay $2,250 in back rent to avoid being evicted, he was jumped! What are the odds? The police have no record of this attack.
Santos’ campaign website states that his mom was “in her office in the south tower” of the World Trade Center on the day of 9/11. Santos’ mother actually passed away more than 15 years after 9/11, in December 2016.
But hey, WTG to all of you who voted for him!
