George McCrae's re-recorded version of 'Rock Your Baby' — one of the defining songs of the disco era.

Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, McCrae formed his own singing group, the Jivin' Jets, before serving in the United States Navy. When KC and The Sunshine Band needed a vocalist who could hit the high notes on a new track, George stepped into the studio — his wife Gwen was originally meant to sing it, but arrived late to the session. The result sold an estimated eleven million copies, topped the charts in both the US and UK, and was voted Rolling Stone's number one song of 1974.
