GreekReporter.com - On September 22, 2025, Libra Group hosted a dinner at the Mandarin Oriental in New York City in honor of His All-Holiness Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople-New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch, during his first official visit to the United States since 2021. The evening brought together more than 250 dignitaries, heads of state, religious leaders, and business and philanthropy figures.
Libra Group Executive Chairman George Logothetis delivered a moving introduction of the Patriarch, “whose life-long journey of giving and loving is a beacon for our faith and humanity alike… through whose veins flows a river of the richest empathy.” He reflected on themes of faith, community, and gratitude, and shared his family’s Greek immigrant story as part of that message.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew is the spiritual leader of 300 million Orthodox Christians worldwide and the 270th Archbishop of Constantinople and Ecumenical Patriarch, a position he has held since 1991. Following George’s remarks, His All-Holiness offered a powerful benediction and closing address.
