The overall purpose of hosting this webinar is to provide information’s for GeoHealth early career researchers exploring career pathways outside of academic fields. In this webinar, we will have a panel featuring three professionals who have developed careers outside of the traditional academic path. Our panelists include a Senior Scientist at the Environmental Defense Fund (Fiona Lo), a Lead Geospatial Data Scientist at Sonoma Technology, Inc. (Nathan Pavlovic), and a Sustainability Analyst at Amazon (Nina Domingo). Each brings a unique perspective on working in the nonprofit, consulting, and corporate sectors, with backgrounds rooted in environmental science. They will share experience on job searching, networking, interviewing, and how to translate academic training into real-world practice.
