As I do with all of these covers, I wanted to put my own spin on the original. Zack lays his life on the line to defend Cloud, but knew going in that he might not survive. This orchestral arrangement is the soundtrack of his thoughts before diving into battle for the last time.

This one took a little longer than usual because I wanted to try something different, specifically, writing an orchestral piece with zero brass instruments as well as avoiding anything that couldnt be done in real life. It forces the strings to do extra work to sound big and interesting. I think it came out pretty good. Enjoy!

First of all, I can TOTALLY relate to Zidane. Its too easy to get stuck in your own head.
