This map was a journey. I started it back in early march and I was grinding it fairly consistently until April, when I reached Transient Luminous Events. I had heard a lot about the room, how it was yellow grandmaster +2 despite being less than 2 seconds long, but I still had no idea how brutal it really was. I ended up dropping the map, due to not enjoying playing TLE like at all. However, in September, I got the urge to return to the map, mainly because I don't enjoy leaving things unfinished. I managed to finish TLE in a couple days of on and off playing, and just like that, I was free to finish the rest of the map. Eventually I got to On Madeline (final room), and I started grinding it. I very quickly got consistent at most of the room, and began realizing that I could very easily clear it in a single session, which I believe has not been done before. Unfortunately, after playing for around 5 hours straight, my hands became very tired and my muscle memory started deteriorating. I went to sleep, hopped back on the next morning, and cleared in 40 minutes. So, not quite a single session, but I'm still happy with how quickly I got it.
Geodesic is genuinely one of the most incredible pieces of art that the modded Celeste community has produced. It's mind-blowing to see how well this map came together, every single aspect of it feels so high quality and polished that it's kind of hard to believe it exists. I would probably recommend it to more people if TLE didn't exist, purely because of how inapproachable the room is, and how unfun I found it for the majority of my time playing it, but as it stands, this is easily one of the best Celeste maps of all time. If you are capable of playing this level of difficulty and input density, you should play Geodesic. You (most likely) won't regret it.
Each Manifold section timestamped, as well as the two hardest rooms, as these are generally the hardest and most interesting parts of the map to watch.
6:24 Manifold I
12:42 Manifold II
24:40 Manifold III
33:53 Manifold IV
42:45 Manifold V
43:54 Transient Luminous Events
1:03:24 Manifold VI
1:05:06 On Madeline (the collection of pixels)
Final Stats:
Playtime: 29:48:27
Deaths: 48,098
