On the Norwegian island Sørøya, approximately 1400 meters of the Geobrugg SPIDER® Avalanche system was installed. This solution provides rockfall protection with energies up to 500 kJ as well as avalanche prevention in the winter. SPIDER® Avalanche is hardly visible, which is especially important in the untouched nature of the island.
