The Geo-Legends series features our most eminent members. In episode 3 of season 6, Kristin Sample-Lord interviews Shobha Bhatia! Shobha was the 2025 Koerner Lecturer, and has won numerous other awards throughout her career.

She talks about everything from her childhood in India, how she started in the geosynthetics field, her extensive research into women in geotechnical engineering and geosynthetics, and so much more! This interview was recorded in Microsoft Teams on April 16, 2026.
