In my early career as a documentary filmmaker, I looked for stories like this one. I was passing through Storrs Connecticut at the University where a relative was a professor and ran across Timmy Page. I had my 16 mm equipment with me and decided to make a movie. It took several hours to film.

The finished documentary, what you see in this clip, won first prize blue ribbon awards at 15 film festivals including Chicago and New York. The documentary focused on something that was happening back then, the rise of young independent filmmakers like Tim Page. We were both asked to appear on this television program.

Tim Page is an acclaimed American music critic, author, and editor. Born on October 11, 1954, he is best known for his work as a classical music critic for major publications such as The New York Times and The Washington Post. Page is a Pulitzer Prize-winning critic, having received the award in 1997 for his distinguished criticism.

In addition to his work as a critic, Tim Page is also an accomplished author. He has written several books on music and musicians, including biographies and collections of essays. Some of his notable works include "The Glenn Gould Reader" and a biography of the composer William Kapell.

Regarding the 1967 documentary "A Day with Timmy Page," it featured Tim Page, the music critic, as a child prodigy. The documentary focused on his life and experiences growing up with an extraordinary talent for music and his interactions with the world around him.

As of recent years, Tim Page has continued to write and contribute to the field of music criticism and literature. He is also known for his work on autism awareness, having been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome later in life. He has spoken and written about his experiences, contributing to a greater understanding of autism and its impact on individuals' lives.
