This video is the first in a series of videos that will cover General George Patton's Desert Training Center. The Desert Training Center was General Patton's choice to prepare military personnel for the invasion of North Africa during WWII.
Patton used twelve divisional camps throughout south east California and western Arizona. Through several videos I will be visiting all twelve divisional camps in this series. This first video gives a brief description of the Desert Training Center then covers Camp Young, which was used as the headquarters for the entire Desert Training Center.
