When I was a kid, all the movies I saw ran this at the beginning. Sometimes the jelly in the background was red, and looked like the Blob. This version looks like grape.
That's one hell of a catchy tune.

![10 - Better Days
When I was at summer camp in 1979, we did this musical in Hebrew. The album is one of the very few Broadway musicals that never made it to CD, but I have the record, and I ripped it to mp3 for my own use. Theres a short dialogue before the song starts. The musical came out after the Six Day War, but it hasnt aged.
Here are the lyrics, near as Ive been able to figure them out. Any corrections will be appreciated.
Well live to welcome better days
Were going to live to welcome better days
Well live to welcome better days
We shall live to see
The dawn of better days
They say theyre just beyond the hills
Burn the smoke from the blaze
We shall live to see
The dawn of better days
They are rising from the valleys
Pushing down from mountain haze
And those days are filled with spring
And with the laughter joy will bring
And with the love and truth we knew in youth
But forgot with the battles ring
Well live to welcome better days
Were going to live to welcome better days
Well live to welcome better days
The hours drawing near
When well see the better days
Proud as chapters in the Bible
Proud as Solomons song of praise
A waterfall in innocence
A mornings dawn ablaze
Its a time of calm and quiet
Its a time when spirits raise
And only when we mourn
When we remember how weve been torn
Well hear the screams of war again
Well cry for the sons weve borne
Well hear the cannon roar
And the shrapnel through the door
The battles that grace
These nights and days
And give our heart [???]
Well live to welcome better days
Were going to live to welcome better days
Well live to welcome better days
This will be here soon
You can feel it round the bend
And when it rules the land
When it takes its place again
When the storys told
When the writer stops his pen
Then well look at one another
And well thank both God and man
And well see through eyes that glow
Of time of suffering and woe
With the thankful smile well go back a while
To those days of long ago
Well live to welcome better days
Were going to live to welcome better days
