Here's step by step how to do the 2yr maintenance (Schedule A) on your whole home backup Generac generator. Mine is a natural gas Kohler 22kW unit (model G00723510) that uses the Generac G-Force 1000 Series engine, 999cc. I change the oil, oil filter, spark plugs, air filter and do a general inspection to make sure my standby generator is ready for action if/when the power goes out next.
1. Kit WITHOUT Oil Part Number: 6485 (or 0J93230ESV): amzn.to/4obs4QC
What it includes: 1 Air Filter (0J8478), 1 Oil Filter (070185ES), 2 Spark Plugs (0G0767A), a paper funnel, and a shop towel.
Best option if you already have your own preferred 5W-30 or 5W-20 full synthetic motor oil on hand.

What it includes: Everything in the standard 6485 kit, plus 2 quarts of Generac GEO 5W-20 Full Synthetic Engine Oil.
The Generac 6485 Maintenance Kit works with 20kW, 22kW, 24kW, and 26kW air-cooled standby generators (2013 and newer) equipped with the 999cc G-Force engine.
Known compatible model numbers include:
