In this video, I'll show you how to set up Open Web UI, a free tool that turns your local AI into a full ChatGPT-like experience with document uploads, knowledge bases, image analysis, and custom AI personas.
This is part two of the Gemma 4 series. In part one, we got Gemma 4 installed and running locally using Ollama. Now we're taking it further with Open Web UI, a free open-source interface that sits on top of Ollama and unlocks a ton of new features. I'll walk you through installing Docker, getting Open Web UI running with a single command, and then we'll explore the best features -- uploading documents and building permanent knowledge bases your AI can reference anytime, analyzing images, and creating custom personas for tasks like email writing.
