Have you ever wondered what would happen if you combined the bold textures of gel printing with watercolor? In this video, I'm doing exactly that! Using my 5"X7" Balsamroot Stencil from #pmartiststudio and my 5"X7" gel plate, I will create layered prints directly on watercolor paper. Then I will bring those prints to life by adding watercolor to the open flower petals and finish the piece with Posca Pen patterns for added texture and interest. We will explore how leaving intentional white space creates beautiful opportunities for watercolor while the gel printed background provides rich layers and contrast. As a bonus, I will also create 3 extra gel printed background papers that will be ready for future mixed media projects.
