My dear friend Cora Berry who lives in New South Wales, has been telling me so much about a fantastic small chain of shops called The Sewing Basket. Basically, they are op-shops/ thrift store that only sell sewing, quilting, knitting, needlework etc. supplies. All goods are donated. (Can we take a moment to appreciate what an absolutely wonderful idea this is and how much I wish that this would be replicated in other states of Australia mainly Western Australia?)
Cora Berry came across a whole lot of silk in one of the stores and called me. I said "yes please, buy it all and I will transfer you the money" - and wow, the cost was insane (in a good way).
Thank you Cora Berry for thinking of me and being my fabric mule. :)
