The campaign gameplay reveal showcases Gears of War: E-Day's brutal third-person combat, iconic cover mechanics, devastating weapons, and cinematic encounters as Marcus and Dom fight to survive the opening stages of the Locust invasion. The footage offers a deeper look at the game's darker approach to the origins of the Locust War, combining intense firefights with the horror and desperation of humanity facing an enemy it barely understands.
Gears of War: E-Day is a prequel developed by The Coalition and published by Xbox Game Studios, taking place 14 years before the original Gears of War. The story follows a young Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as they experience Emergence Day firsthand, chronicling the beginning of the Locust War and the events that ultimately transform them into the legendary soldiers fans know from the original trilogy.
