Gearing up in cataclysm classic is super easy, especially with the new things introduced in cataclysm phase 4. You should spam dungeons, do wintergrasp for honor, buy items on the ah to get epic and rare items for the new raid dragon soul in cata phase 4. You can also do the 3 new dungeons, which makes gearing up a fresh level 85 even quicker in p4. Remember to also spent your new obsidian fragments and the vendor.
