Vocaloid - 「Blessing」 [piano arrangement] Duckle 2023-02-21 | I've always liked this song, but I came across a really great cover by KOI/Lee Kyung tae (youtu.be/tXdhgoPl_bE) that made me want to arrange it, and I also used that version as my main reference. The instrumentation's pretty simple, just two piano parts and a string pizzicato part that's almost an exact duplicate of the melody and I didn't do anything too crazy. I really enjoyed arranging Blessing, my favorite parts were the bridge sections with "if it were [rock/acapella/game] it would be" and the part right after that with the call/response-esque tune.However, I've been getting used to doing more highkey arrangements so I kind of forgot about adjusting the volume, I'd recommend watching it at a higher setting :') Thanks for watching and subscribe for more~my twt: twitter.com/NuRChu4

Where they at is probably one of the songs that got me in here, the ironic to unironic pipeline is too strong... So this song was initially out of my comfort zone, I was frustrated with the static tonality, but the more I tried to make this interesting by improvising the melodies as well as conveying the inflection/flow/delivery, the more fun I had with it. Adding the synth (DX7 electric piano soundfont), slap bass and the simple trap beat helped too. Duel of Rebellion | Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V OST [arrangement] Duckle 2021-10-25 | Literally one person asked but I arranged "Duel of Rebellion" from Arc-V for clavichord, lute (yes, the guitar like instrument you hear in bardcore), and piano! Somehow the combination isn't that bad But it was interesting transposing the original brass to the tonally weak clavichord... For real though, this is one of my favorite tracks in all of Yugioh. It has such a powerful drive in that constant riff/ostinato, but the melody is not at all triumphant, rather sorrowful and pained. It's really fitting as the theme of the XYZ duelists! my favorite part is the arpeggios at 1:00 before the break, especially in the second measure. I tried to highlight the D# leading tone you don't hear in the original to make it extra off-kilter and painful sounding :)Thanks for watching! Quattro/IV Theme | Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links [piano arrangement] Duckle 2021-06-29 | My take on Quattro/IV's theme in Duel Links, releasing just in time for his unlock event! Little known fact about me I am a very avid DL player... probably too avid... if you play, have fun during the event! This theme is one of my favorites in DL, I remember listening to it and going insane over it before his roaming event back in April? Everyone say thank you KonamiRamble/analysis below. Starting 00:15, it follows a very typical waltz format, with the accented 1st beat and 2nd and 3rd light beats in the bass line. But as the song progresses it sort of devolves from the standard waltz. For example, it plays with a duple meter despite being triple meter at parts like at the intermission between the two parts at 00:42 and at the buildup right before the end. Besides all that, there's the chords and chord progressions ! The theme loves its B harmonic minor and there was tons of room for accidentals and slips in the key, letting it sound extra insane. I love the sudden and brief C major at 1:27, a glint of hope before the frenzied buildup to the end. Speaking of the end, I made the last three measures up because obviously in the real one it would go into a loop. Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL OST - Photon Stream of Destruction [arrangement] Duckle 2021-04-08 | My version of one my favorite tracks from the Zexal OST, with "whistle," organ, piano, and percussion parts! It notably plays in scenes where Kaito makes a comeback and/or summons neo galaxy-eyes :)I was nervous that I wouldn't do the song justice because it's hard to make long notes sound good with the soundfonts, also the original has so much energy, I was afraid of being lame in comparison, and tbh it did sound lame at first. But adding the "whistle" and organ (both of which reference/pay tribute to him hehe) really got the ball rolling and I ended up having so much fun with this! I hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!Aside from obligatorily liking this track as a Kaito enjoyer™ the piece is actually objectively so neat? My favorite things are the call and response in the beginning between the aggressive treble and the bass line, the persistent repetition in the bass line; the fake 3/4 time at 0:39 which sounds really erratic and uneasy; that fake 3/4 also foreshadows the change to real 3/4 time at 1:16, which has the effect of extra speed and urgency leading to the end .. in that same part not only is the beat dynamic, but also the harmonies/chords: the way the chord progression gradually builds as it repeats, (extra tension points in the way there IS a chord progression after the majority of the song is mostly strictly built off of E minor,) also the first and second chords of the 4 chord phrase being in minor vs the third and fourth being unexpectedly in major is super interesting.
