The Gayatri Mantra with its mudras is a powerful way to integrate the energy of this famous, rite-of-passage, mantra for Brahmin boys for millennia. It has now been expanded to being used by both genders and all folk.
The translations of it vary, from "Let us meditate on that excellent glory of the divine vivifying Sun, May he enlighten our understandings." to "We meditate on the glory of that Being who has produced this universe; may He enlighten our minds."
