From 10 to 12 April, 2026, Duke University, in collaboration with the Holberg Prize and other contributing sponsors, hosted a conference on Fredric Jameson and critical theory. The conference featured, among others, Holberg Laureates Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak as keynote speaker.

Fredric Jameson and Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak received the Holberg Prize in 2008 and 2025, respectively.
