*In this video, the concept of Gauss's Law and the concept of electric flux density is explained.*

*Gauss's Law :*
_The electric flux (because of the electric displacement field, D) passing through any closed surface is equal to the total charge enclosed by that surface._

*What is Electric Flux Density (D)*
It represents the electric flux passing through unit area. It is a vector field and it only accounts for the effect of free charges within medium, and it is completely independent of the internal polarization of the medium.

Unit - C/m²

In this video, first the Gauss's law is explained using the electric field (E- field) and the expression of Gauss's law in both integral and differential form was derived. At the later part of the video, how the electric field is material dependent is explained. And the Gauss's law expression (using E-field) for the dielectric medium is shown.

And later, the concept of the Electric Flux Density (D) is explained and it is shown that when the Gauss's Law is expressed using D- field (Electric Displacement Field), then how the expression of Gauss's law becomes medium independent.

The following topics are covered in the video:
0:00 What is Electric Flux ?
4:47 Gauss's Law Explained (Integral and Differential form)
15:00 What is Electric Flux Density (D)? Gauss's Law in terms of D-Field
