For a while I’ve had Geode installed on my phone, but I never really used it as I opted to just use the vanilla game for videos. However thanks to EVW’s most recent GD mods video, I’ve discovered this mod called “Gauntlets Deluxe”, featuring many fanmade gauntlets. Since I have nothing that interesting to do in GD at the current time, I figured I could do at least some of these gauntlets. I’m not sure just yet if I’ll do all of them, but I at least want to see what levels the community picks for their gauntlets.
These gauntlets follow different rules to the vanilla gauntlets. Instead of the level stats being tracked differently to the regular server versions, the stats will be carried over if you beat them in these gauntlets. Likewise, if you’ve already beaten a level that’s in a gauntlet, it’ll show as such, but you’ll still have to rebeat it to make progress. Levels in these gauntlets also reward “level points”, and completing a gauntlet rewards “gauntlet points”, and these are tracked on their own custom leaderboards. This is a good substitute for gauntlet rewards without messing with vanilla stats, which is what I was initially worried about with stars, orbs and coins in the levels themselves.
I probably won’t be doing these gauntlets as frequently as i would with the official gauntlets for that exact reason - they arent official. If a level is difficult enough that it requires some practice runs to beat, I lose motivation faster. So dont expect these to come out super frequently.
In Geode I also have some other mods installed, such as Astral Projection, Coins on Progress Bar, Golden Best, Menu Physics, High Graphics on Mobile, and many more. It’s cool to have all these QoL mods and some funny mods too. I wish I could use Better Progression but it’s not compatible with iOS :(
