This is a full cover, and worship of the Gates of Ishtar song "Trail of Tears" off their 1997 album "The Dawn of Flames".
We used the original AI isolated drum track (using Moises.ai) that I enhanced with some EZDrummer samples. We also didn't use any reverb on the vocals as opposed to the original. We multitracked some vocal parts to create a more chorus-like vibe on some parts and to make it sound a tad bit more modern instead.
"Trail of Tears" is probably not Gates of Ishtar's biggest hit, more like a deep-cut actually, and also not their most technical song. I really like the mesmerizing repetitive riffing, the arrangements and the sad atmosphere the song creates, so I just wanted to do it anyway.
My Japanese friend Deathmetalvoicer was so kind to impersonate Mikael Sandorf and did an amazing job with it. Go check out his channel for more covers (see link above).
