This year's Tax Essay competition attracted more entries than ever, as the Association of Tax Advisors continues to promote analysis and original interpretations of tax matters that affect Gibraltar. The winner of this year's overall prize was William Saunders of Deloitte, with his “Gibraltar’s Approach to Transfer Pricing: A Systematic Review”. The under 25 prize went to student, Katie Azra Happold for her essay, “The Return of Taxation as Unlawful State Aid: Implications of the UK-EU Agreement in respect of Gibraltar.” Grahame Jackson and John Azzopardi of the GATA were on the judging panel, and both praised the high quality of submissions to this year's competition. They spoke to Kelly Anne Borge on Gibraltar Today.
