I started noticing that my Sea of Thieves character kinda looks like the bad guy from Beauty and the Beast, so I've decided to run with it and try and think of a story in which Gaston can exist in the game despite technically having died in his movie. This is more or less what I came up with
After falling to his death at the end of the movie, Gaston doesn't awaken in Heaven or Hell. He instead finds himself in the Ferry of the Damned. After, albeit hesitantly, walking through the portal door, he wakes up at a table in the tavern at Ancient Spire. He now has to become accustomed to life as a pirate
(and also the fact that he's already died once would explain how the player character in SOT has the ability to respawn lol)
