Well it's time to thankfully leave this POS year behind and get into The New Year with some positivity. Towards that end, I am introducing my concept of GAS for all those musically inclined to embrace. GAS stands for Group Audience Scat. "Scat" is the term used for the independent improvisation of a melody line to a set, repetitive Chordal Sequence. It has always been done by one singer.
Until now, campers!
Now the entire audience is going to scat at the same time. And you are correct. What you have is absolute chaos and utter cacophony. But, TOGUPO (Truth Out, Grown Up Pants On), is this not the situation we face in the universe today? I'm thinking it is. The other beauty of this Chaos/ Cacophony is that it all occurs at the same time in the SAME KEY. What this accomplishes is an absolute and wonderful "Celebratory Howl", if you will. As is evidenced by the the joyous crowd above. The guest singer is Brianna Ibarra; check her out; she's equally as wonderful when she sings rehearsed pieces....
