Gary Dorrien grew up on Union Road — a collection of shacks and trailers in semi-rural Michigan — and spent his life trying to understand two images that never left him: a crucified God hanging over a Catholic altar, and Martin Luther King Jr. walking into Birmingham.
This lecture is intellectual biography as theology.
