We received this video from a reader showing a large mob of Garda being very aggressive with a small group of people who had arrivef early for the homelessness protest at the Dail opening and were judged to be the wrong side of the steel fence.
The reader who sent it in tells us "As a small crowd started to form around the Dáil for the housing protest, the Gardaí began attempting to herd demonstrators into the pre-constructed pen on Molesworth st.
When a couple of people resisted being pushed behind the barriers they were swarmed by the large number Gardaí present. After several minutes protest by both the people refusing to be moved, and by protesters behind the barrier the Garda managed to drag the woman and man behind the barrier and shut the opening."
Their footage is then followed by footage our cameraman shot when he arrived on the scene a few minutes later showing the completely over the top Garda presence and steel fence designed to keep the homeless well away from the TD's scurrying away from the Dail.
