A quick look at how this adapted version of a 3D printed bracket for the IPS screen can not only help locate the replacement screen correctly but also mask the edges of the display to eliminate any backlight bleed.
When the IPS screen is usually installed, the metal frame at the very edges is still visible from certain angles. Not only can some light escape at the edges but these metal surfaces reflect the light and can be a bit distracting while playing.
In this video I use my new 3D printer to make and install a bracket that features an aperture that masks the edges of the display and makes for a much cleaner looking install. The file for the bracket itself can be found here:
